Manav Sewa Foundation one day got a call from Mr. Ajit Mandal who is Maternal uncle of the boy named Raj Kumar Mahato. Raj Kumar Mahato from Bara, Jitpur is physically disabled and is not able to walk. Mr. Ajit told us about how difficult it is for Raj Kumar to be fully dependent on his family for every small activities. Besides, his family is also facing some difficulties as they have to carry him everywhere due to his health conditions. With age carrying him everywhere is not an easy task for them. Raj Kumar is also having difficulty in attending school in this situation. So during the conversation with Ajit Mahato our team asked what was the help he was actually looking for from the organisation. Upon this question he just requested to support them with a wheelchair so that raj kumar mahato can go to school and also to places he has been unable to reach. Ajit Mahato just wanted raj kumar to be able to move from here and there on his own. With the support of wheelchair raju will not have to withdraw from the school and also his family will also have some relief, that is what mr Ajit shared with foundation team.
After the conversation with Mr. Ajit, our team coordinated with one of the volunteers who was living nearby (Bara, Jitpur). Upon request Ms. Kamana Silwal from jitpur helped us by going to victims place so as to know about the condition of Rajkumar Mahato and his family. She gave us all the needed information about the case and also the pictures. the financial condition of the family was very weak due to which they were not able to buy wheelchair to their son and thus were looking for help from our organization. After the detailed information that we received from our volunteer we planned to support Raj Kumar Mahato with a wheelchair. Our team then started all the preparation of the program from buying the wheelchair to packaging and going to Bara, Jitpur. Our field officer Ms. Bhawana Silwal went to Bara, jitpur on on 27th February and conducted the program on 28th February, 2022. As per our field officer the family of Raj Kumar were extremely happy for the support as it will in many ways ease Rajkumar and the family. Besides that, Rajkumar will be able to attend school without worrying about withdrawing the school.
