Conflict victim and Disabled Society is a non profit social organization established in 2005 with a mission to enhance opportunities and uplift the livelihood of conflict victims and persons with disabilities (pwd’s) in Nepal. The Founder of the organization is Yuraj Thapa CVDS aims at creating avenues so that the existing negative views and social prejudice towards them can slowly be eradicate. CVDS has been supporting people who have been affected by political, social, and cultural violence within the country through a multitude of vocational cum income generating projects. These trainings are provided free of cost. The training cost is met by various national and international partnership, contributions from members and the sale of handicraft items produced by the pwd’s of CVDS-Nepal.
Previously, the Manav Sewa Foundation, Nepal had visited the organization on 2078-11-07. The team did necessary introspection about the organization and presented it to the program coordinator. This was the first intake for the project assessment ; after that whole team had meeting to conduct the program ; in conclusion the team prepared the plan to distribute the hygiene essential such as handwash, harpic, detergent powder, soap to wash clothes etc.as per the demand from Yuvraj Thapa, he wanted us to help them for medicine for those disabled children. We tried to get those medicine but many pharmaceuticals denied our proposal due to the legal policy related to neuro-medicine and we lacked the prescription for those medicine. So we decided to gave Hygiene essentials as it is necessary for their present condition.
