Resta Foundation (RF) is children center initiated by Resta Jha, Executive Chairman – KFA and was established as an NGO on May 11 to dedicate itself for providing good shelter to homeless, orphaned and abandoned children and educating these needy and deprived children for their better future . The foundation is currently home of 11 children who came from different places of Nepal. Their main focus is to boost children’s individuality and help them become confident. Besides this, Resta Foundation also plans to expand its family so that they can reach out to as many children as possible and provide support to the needy ones. For now those 11 children are staying there and are getting their education from school nearby named Fusion Boarding School.
On the auspicious occasion of Saraswati Puja, Manav Sewa Foundation planned to celebrate this day with the children so as to motivate them about education and its importance in one’s life. People in this day worships Goddess Saraswati who is meant to be goddess of Knowledge, so many families mark this day by sitting with babies and young children to encourage them to write their first word. Even different schools, colleges and educational institutions celebrates this day by conducting special puja. So due to this reason, Manav Sewa Foundation chose Resta Foundation to celebrate this day with children by providing educational materials like copies, sketch books, color pencils, eraser, pen, pencil etc. The program was conducted on February 6, 2022 at Resta Foundation in Budanilkantha. We started the program with basic introductory session and later we talked about the correlation between education and intelligence and how important it is to be intelligent. After the discussion, a short game was played by the children for their refreshment and also to let them explore about their interest and hobbies. Lastly Mr. Shahil Jha (Administrator of Resta Foundation) shared his experience about the organization, how it started and challenges they faced in the initial phase. He also mentioned that these kind of support helps them to grow the foundation and wishes to get connected with more people and organizations so as to provide more facilities and support for the better upbringing of those children. Overall it was a fruitful day for the team as well as the members of Resta Foundation as we were able to bring smile on those faces which was our main motto.
